This list brings people of common interest and goals together through the power of the Internet to communicate, educate and inform through open discussion. It is the class that never ends. Exchange information in a friendly relaxed forum or just sit back and observe; there is something new to be learned just about every day. Share HazMat/WMD policies and procedures with others. Ask for comments before an equipment purchase to keep the instances of trying to reinvent the wheel to a minimum, someone may have done that legwork for you. Have a roundtable discussion or critique of an incident. Carry on interactive tabletop exercises with other teams. Address HazMat/WMD EMS issues. Converse with professionals from all over the world on HazMat/WMD issues.
 
There are currently over 350 participants from all over the country from agencies such as VaDEM, EPA, DEQ, FBI, DoD, State HazMat Team members, etc.
There are individuals from the vendor industry such as RAE Systems, Dupont, MSA, The Centech Group, etc.
 
To receive or participate on the HazMat-WMD discussion list you must have Internet email access, or free email service such as Juno mail.

To subscribe to the list send a blank email message, no subject or text to HazMat-WMD-subscribe@egroups.com . You will be sent a conformation email welcoming you to the list.  To send a post to the list without being subscribed address it to Hazmat-WMD@egroups.com.

This will become one of your most valuable resources for getting information from knowledgeable professionals you may never have the opportunity to meet on an incident.
