DESIGN BRIEF

BACKGROUND:
After reading "The Great Kapok Tree" by Lynne Cherry and "This Place is Wet" by Vicki Cobb, the students discussed how life would be in a rainforest and problems the people have living there.

CHALLENGE:
You're living in the rainforest and the rainy season has begun. Each year the river overflows and the water rises up to 8 feet above its normal level. Your are to design and build a home that you could live in without getting wet.

MATERIALS:
Cardboard, recycling, materials, liter bottles, straws, paper rolls, string etc.
